If These Walls Could Talk

If these walls could talk, what would they say about the previous owners?

They were organized.  There are outlines in the kitchen cabinets for all the pots and small appliances.  And notes for the location of obscure light switches.

They took pride in their home by adding customized details.  From the stained glass windows to the eyelet blinds.  And we can’t forget the built-in desk.

They were clean.  The tile grout looks fresh, the floors look like they were just refinished and the paneling is polished.  I can count the number of times I said ‘yucky’ or ‘gross’ on one hand, as I cleaned the house.  I’m quick to get grossed out so that’s saying something.

They were traditional people.  They banked at a local bank.  Kept their perfume bottles, used sparkly decorations and took medicine for their back aches.

Look at the stuff we found when we cleaned.  I’m hoping to find their emergency stash of cash.  Because they seem like the type of people.  Anyone interested in prescription pills and a blank check book?  I kid.  Checks have been shredded and pills have been flushed.

Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. O for selling us your home.

i heard you’re not supposed to flush pills down the toilet because it gets into the water system and contaminates the water, so you get cases where the water has too much estrogen and guys start getting boobs. goo goo scolded deanna for doing/suggesting we do that with yeh yeh’s expired pills.
goo goo says you’re supposed to turn them into the police dept or fire dept….in which case i’m not sure what they do…(probably flush them down the toilet)

So I asked C about whether or not fire or police stations took expired pills. His response was, “Why wouldn’t you just flush them down the toilet.” Not saying they don’t, but he wasn’t aware of it.
